Now the colors are much more true. My Jackmanii is purple. I just went out and looked and it's actually more purple than the picture. Could your plants have been mismarked? I wonder.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13911109672807196057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-503500621849621556.post-43930727740872882202012-06-13T08:26:00.250-04:002012-06-13T08:26:00.250-04:00Wow, what a collection and all of them big lush on...Wow, what a collection and all of them big lush ones! Why does Jackmanii always look purple in photos? I started two Jackmanii Superba this year, one at my house and one at my sister's and they are both blooming magenta red. Nice, lovely climbers, with big rich colored flowers, but not purple.Laurriehttp://laurries.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-503500621849621556.post-67839240827474844952012-06-13T07:54:37.832-04:002012-06-13T07:54:37.832-04:00I only have a few roses-mostly Knockouts and I cut...I only have a few roses-mostly Knockouts and I cut them back hard every spring. One does have a Clem growing through it but that one flowered weeks ago and is done. I haven't done a very good job growing them into big shrubs. Those are the ones I forget and they end up sprawled all over the ground in too much shade.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13911109672807196057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-503500621849621556.post-82641715867678439472012-06-13T06:29:44.932-04:002012-06-13T06:29:44.932-04:00This is a fabulous year here for clematis and I se...This is a fabulous year here for clematis and I see it is for you too! Your technique is similar to mine. :) I don't see any combinations with roses, but then maybe you don't do roses at all?Gardenbughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04397016484686334001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-503500621849621556.post-49237827363540660132012-06-12T23:20:11.313-04:002012-06-12T23:20:11.313-04:00Oh man Sue, these all look great!Oh man Sue, these all look great!kshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10847026541797857854noreply@blogger.com
